Movies That Remind Us of Our Youth
Post by Sharon
There are movies that were popular growing up or perhaps had to do with the decade of our adolescence that make us feel nostalgic and "at home." Here's some of my faves for baby boomers -
A day of viewing some of these are bound to bring back some youthful feelings. What's my 4-movie marathon for a day of watching?
Now and Then
Stand by Me
Sound of Music
Wizard of Oz
Summer of 42
Beach Blanket Bingo
Now and Then
Saturday Night Fever
Stand By Me
The Lords of Flatbush
Where the Boys Are
The Endless Summer
I suggest Fresca or egg cream, malt milkshake, or cherry Coke and a big bowl of popcorn!
Most of my sentimental memories involved summer treks with friends to discover buried treasure, solve a mystery, or attract a cute boy's attention (depending on my age) and beach-related fun.
A re-visit to places of your youth, summertime fun, childhood classic movies, even morning cartoons can bring back your youth and also what you dreamed and focused on so you can re-find yourself again.
