Flashlights and Blanket Forts - Adult "Time Out" Space

You are never too old for a blanket fort to curl up in and watch movies, make out with your significant other, or read a good book. Reignite your childlike enthusiasm for adventure and creativity.

Build a blanket fort! Pop some popcorn. Have a movie marathon.

Remember holding flashlight up to your hand? Spend some time with a flashlight and find some magic again.

Hold it up to your face. Tell a story by flashlight's beam.

Go around and flash it at various angles to all your decorations for spooky photos -

'

How about shadow puppets? Put the flashlight between your legs when you sit down and shoot it up at the ceiling and put your hands in front of it to make shadows on the ceiling.

There goes Casper across the ceiling!

Try a spooky movie that reveals something creepy in the room -

Take the flashlight into a blanket fort. This is an ideal creation for a rough day - to tuck inside and read or watch a movie. Invite in your loved one and make it a snuggle fest, take in a carton of Chinese takeout and some wine.

When the weather is cool it's ideal for a blanket fort in a recliner chair or sofa, bed... keep it up and enjoy throughout the fall and winter.

As the weather begins to turn to the "tucking in" phase, consider nesting and enjoying some child-like fun!

Some movies I enjoy in a blanket fort -

"The Haunting"
"The Changeling"
"Night of the Living Dead"
"Phantasm"
"Halloween"
"Hocus Pocus"
"Trick R Treat"
"Krampus"

If you keep it up, make it your "time out" for good behavior. Tuck a few crossword puzzle books inside and maybe an old issue of Mad Magazine.
