Early Spring in Phoenix

Happy 70s and 40s are the temps in Phoenix in January. It's a bit warmer than usual, but the garden wasn't sure what to make of it. Most trees did not lose their leaves this year and started sprouting new ones, as well as blossoms.

Talk about spring fever! This is one of the reasons this Southwest area is great from November to May. It's like December is a month of "fall" and then January onward is springtime until June's heat of 100+.

The Hong Kong orchid tree sprouted hundreds of scented buds, the orange cosmos went crazy all winter long, budding constantly and attracting bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies.

It's definitely shorts and sundress weather.

All I can say is, I can brag for now, but come summertime, y'all can brag about how you get rains and nights cool off and temps are in the 80s.
