Soft Lighting Options for Nighttime Coziness

There is nothing like coming home when it's dark in the fall and winter and putting on a transitional light instead of the stark ceiling lights and bright lamps. Just transitioning yourself from harsh artificial lighting to a warm glow is romantic and soothing. Here's some ways to put your atmosphere on -

WATER PROJECTION LIGHT

BATTERY OPERATED CANDLES

FIREFLY STRING LIGHTS

SCENTED NIGHT LIGHT

Himalayan Salt Lamp

I have this lamp (above) and I adore it. It not only creates a soft warm light, but when the salt balls heat up, you can use them for massage or even put one on the floor and rub the soul of your foot over it for a foot massage.

It helps to unwind from a long day by having soft light around, whether it's old-fashioned candles or plug-in's. If you keep the light level down it calms you and helps you adjust to the release of nighttime melatonin. There's nothing quite like flickering light.

Turn on the softer lighting, put on your slippers, and heat some herbal tea. It's time to relax.
