It's summetime and the pool looks refreshing but maybe you don't swim, maybe you don't want to take a bunch of inflatable items like a kid, or it could be you don't want to get your hair wet. I will share the exercises I do that shape and tone fast!
All you have to do is get in shoulder depth water.
There are 4 movements you can do in place. Do them 10x each and do those sets 4x.
1. Run in place 10x.
2. Jumping jacks in place 10x.
3. Cross country skiing, straight arms and legs 10x.
4. Pull knees up to chest in jumping motion 10x.
Next, work your arms - hold your palms flat, fingers together like paddles. Push hands palm down toward bottom of pool and then, turn palms up and pull up toward the surface. This gets biceps and triceps. You will feel this!
Next, hold upper arms against body and keep hands in same shape and spread lower arms out to the sides and then in toward your middle. This gets inner and outer arms.
Now, if you want to move around, run in the pool, keeping arms underwater for resistance.
Don't forget your sunscreen!
